SVIT Zurich presents innovative lone worker solution
SVIT Zurich offers property professionals a practical solution for safety when working alone. With the new "e-mergency" app, employees can effectively protect themselves from emergencies and call for help during external appointments.
In the property sector, working alone during property viewings or external appointments is often unavoidable, but these activities harbour risks. The new “e-mergency” app, which SVIT Zurich is presenting in a free hybrid seminar, offers property managers a modern and effective way to get help quickly and discreetly in an emergency.
The app offers comprehensive security functions. The user logs in when entering a property and specifies the expected length of stay. If the user does not manually log out before this time has elapsed, an alarm is triggered that automatically informs the user’s team via SMS, push notification or text-to-speech announcement. If the team cannot reach the user, it can forward the alarm to the relevant emergency services.
This lone worker module is part of the “e-mergency” emergency app, which offers comprehensive instructions for various emergency scenarios and options for incident communication. Numerous organisations are already using this app successfully, including the St. Gallen Debt Enforcement Office, the Conference of Swiss Debt Enforcement and Bankruptcy Officers and the Zurich and St. Gallen Universities of Teacher Education.
Bogdan Todic, who is supporting the further development of the app, will report on the application and practical experience together with Laura Nägeli from “e-mergency” at the hybrid seminar. The role of the app in the lone worker module, which was developed specifically for property managers and is already being used successfully in practice, for example by the seizure officers at the St. Gallen debt enforcement office, is particularly worth emphasising.
Support based on practical experience
The security solution has already been tested and successfully implemented in various sectors, proving its reliability in demanding working environments. In addition to property companies, public institutions and companies such as KPMG, SR Technics and the city of Winterthur also use this app.
Free participation in the hybrid seminar
Interested parties can take part in the hybrid seminar organised by SVIT Zurich free of charge. This offers a valuable opportunity to find out about the use of modern security solutions in the property sector and to benefit from the experiences of other users.
