R&M launches new version of its digital architect for data centres

R&M launches the fifth version of its DCIM software inteliPhy net. The new version offers comprehensive features for planning and improving the efficiency of data centers. A test version is available online.
R&M is launching the fifth version of its data centre infrastructure management (DCIM) software. “With Release 5, inteliPhy net is developing into a digital architect for data centres,” writes the globally active specialist for data and communication networks from the Zurich Oberland in a corresponding press release. R&M is offering interested parties a trial version on the Internet.
In inteliPhy net, planners can place and move the individual components of their data centre on a floor plan of their choice. The software suggests cable routes and calculates the cable length. An inventory list is also generated during planning and a digital twin of the data centre is created.
The new version also provides ready-made key figure reports. They can be linked to environmental, monitoring, infrastructure and operating data. This allows, for example, energy consumption and temperatures to be regulated more precisely and the efficiency of the data centre to be monitored in general.
In addition, Release 5 also provides the option of making savings on orders. For example, inteliPhy net can now be used to individually configure Netscale 48 patch panels, explains the company. The patch panels are then supplied by R&M completely ready for installation in a single package. This saves the company the need for individual packaging for small parts. The environment benefits from reduced raw material consumption and waste. For the customer, the time required for installation is reduced.
