Employee and staff appraisals – prepare yourself as an employer now!
Employee or staff appraisals are a widely established and "indispensable instrument of modern personnel management" in companies. Employees are not only given the opportunity to formulate their own feedback. Above all, the joint discussion with the manager should be an opportunity to openly reflect on their own work situation or development opportunities. However, personal concerns or points of conflict can also be clarified through dialogue.
When preparing for an appraisal interview, it is therefore all the more important that you discuss possible topics for the meeting in detail and formulate objectives with regard to the course and outcome of the discussion.
An important part of the feedback meeting is to evaluate your employees’ competences and register potential areas for development. Think about where you see your employees’ strengths at work and list the areas in which they can improve. The interview can be followed by a training and development programme as a target agreement.
