Meyer Burger divests measurement technology subsidiary Pasan

The solar cell manufacturer Meyer Burger is selling its subsidiary Pasan as part of its ongoing restructuring programme. The parties have agreed not to disclose the buyer or the financial details of the transaction. Pasan is recognised as a leader in high-precision measurement technology for the solar industry.

Meyer Burger is facing major challenges and is focusing on a comprehensive restructuring programme. As part of these measures, the company has sold its wholly owned subsidiary Pasan SA, based in Neuchâtel. The transaction was completed on 27 January 2025.

Around 30 employees and trainees are employed in Switzerland. The company also has a service team in Shanghai that looks after international customers.
