Implenia has acquired new civil engineering and building construction contracts in Switzerland and Germany, the construction and property company based in the Glattpark district of Opfikon announced in a press release. The order volume there is estimated at around 110 million Swiss francs. “The orders are in line with the Group’s strategic focus on large, complex projects,” writes Implenia.
In Switzerland, Implenia will act as part of a consortium in two civil engineering projects for the Federal Roads Office(FEDRO). The Niesen consortium has been commissioned by FEDRO with the complete renewal of the N06 motorway section between Thun South and Spiez. Implenia holds a 25 per cent stake in ARGE Niesen. ARGE Rose, led by Implenia, has been awarded the contract by FEDRO for the overall renovation of the section of the urban motorway between St.Gallen West and East. Implenia’s share of the two FEDRO civil engineering projects, worth a total of CHF 200 million, amounts to CHF 53 million.
In Germany, Implenia will realise three building construction projects for clients with whom it already has long-standing customer relationships. The first project involves the refurbishment of two listed properties in Munich. In Ingelheim, Implenia will realise two extended shell buildings for new production facilities for Boehringer Ingelheim Pharma. The third project is the turnkey construction of a new canteen kitchen for the Evangelische Heimstiftung in Neuenstadt am Kocher.
