The Swiss Immo Fair will not take place in 2022
The Swiss Immo Fair 2022 has been cancelled. The management and trade fair management made the decision in close cooperation with the exhibitors. The 22nd trade fair for real estate, construction and renovation would have taken place from March 25th to 27th at the Olma Messen St.Gallen site.
Those responsible have decided to cancel the preparations for the Immo Messe Schweiz 2022. At the request of the trade fair management, a significant proportion of the exhibitors preferred the cancellation of the trade fair to an implementation with 2G or 2G+ or further postponement of the implementation decision. “We understand that and consider the decision made together with our exhibitors to be sensible. The Immo Messe Schweiz stands for a competent offer from the planning to the construction to the renovation of real estate as well as an inspiring and informative trade fair experience for exhibitors and visitors. We could not have guaranteed that under the given circumstances," explains exhibition manager Olga Pelliccione. The timing of the cancellation was also chosen correctly: “Everyone involved has campaigned for the implementation. However, due to the short preparation time, it is no longer possible to wait any longer for clarity regarding protective measures and their acceptance by the trade fair audience".
Confident in the spring
The cancellation of Immo Messe Schweiz follows that of Tier&Technik 2022, which should have taken place at the end of February. «The current developments and the forecasts of the experts make us confident. We are optimistic that the cancellation of the Immo Messe will not have to be followed by any more,” expects Katrin Meyerhans, Head of Trade Fairs at Olma Messen St.Gallen. The preparations for the 44th OFFA Spring and Trend Fair with the 37th OFFA Horse Fair are therefore continuing as planned. Numerous exhibitors and partners are on board and a large part of the program is set. OFFA will take place from April 20th to 24th, 2022.
